Hi! I'm Moshe David Rosanel

Looking back, I can't help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude to Hashem for the gift of music that has filled my life with such joy and purpose. It all began when I was just a child, singing in Shul and events. My father, R' Avraham Rosanel shlit"a, has served as Chazzan at the Agudat Hakehilot Synagogue in Paris for over fourty years. Witnessing his devotion and the way his voice carried the Davening was truly inspiring for me and all community members. It planted a deep love for music and prayer in my heart from a young age.

Being raised in such a musical household opened my ears to a rich tapestry of sound. Thanks to my parents' diverse tastes, I developed a profound appreciation for many styles - the soaring melodies of Eastern and Western European Chazzanut, the contemporary energy of Jewish music, and the soulful beauty of Sephardic traditions. Each one added a new thread to the musical tapestry of my life.
In later years, I had the wonderful opportunity to sing with the Halelu Cantorial Choir. It was a truly enriching experience that deepened my appreciation for Jewish music. Being part of the group allowed me to learn from talented vocalists and contribute my voice to beautiful performances at concerts and Shabbat services.

For over decade, I've been fortunate to participate in leading High Holy Day services in both France and Israel as a Chazzan. Witnessing the Davening come alive through the voices of the community has been an incredibly rewarding and humbling experience. While I strive to guide the prayers with sincerity, the true power lies in this collective expression of faith and tradition. Being entrusted with this role has allowed me to contribute in a small way to this meaningful time, and it's been a continuous journey of learning and growth for me alongside the communities I serve.
But my journey didn't happen in a vacuum. My desire to refine my talent led me to seek guidance from some of the finest Chazzanim in the world. These included the operatic Cantor Moshe De Rizinsky z"l from Antwerp and the esteemed Cantor Rabbi Moshe Ginz shlit"a, with his vast experience of over 40 years, spanning Israel, the US, and Canada. Under their tutelage, I not only learned the Bel Canto technique, which significantly improved my vocal control but also got a deepened understanding of the core principles of Chazzanut.

However, music for me has always been about more than just delivering a flawless performance. It's about fostering a love for Hashem and His Torah in me and in others. That's why leading "Kumzits" events brings me immense joy. These gatherings, filled with vibrant music and shared song, allow me to connect with people on a personal level. With a guitar in hand, we create a space for uplifting celebration, fostering a sense of community and a deeper connection to our rich heritage.

But my passion extends beyond singing. I believe that within everyone lies the potential to develop their voice and lead a beautiful Davening. This belief led me to become a vocal coach. It's incredibly fulfilling to witness students, from all walks of life, unlock their vocal potential and discover the joy of singing across various genres.
Ultimately, my journey has been one of immense gratitude. Grateful to Hashem for my musical capabilities, grateful to my family for nurturing them, grateful to my mentors for refining them, and most of all, grateful for the opportunity to share this gift and inspire others to find their own song.
